Junior Wells & Buddy Guy: “Hound Dog”

Gritty vocals and harmonica from Wells’ 1965 album Hoodoo Man Blues. Thinking he was under contract to Chess, Guy was originally credited as “Friendly Chap”—a pseudonym suggested by British record producer Peter Brown because “a buddy is a friend, a guy is a chap.”
